Development of lead-free piezoelectric sensors, actuators, and energy harvesting materials using BNT and KNN-based systems for sustainable electronics.

Bioceramics & Microwave Ferrites

Synthesis and characterization of biologically compatible ceramic materials for medical implants alongside spinel and hexagonal ferrite systems for microwave absorption.

Oxide Thin Films & SemiConductors

Advanced fabrication and electronic tuning of wide-bandgap metal oxide semiconductors and heterostructures, focusing on transparent conducting oxides (TCOs), thin-film transistors (TFTs), and next-generation energy storage components like thin-film batteries.

Development of Corrosion Resistant using PVD Techniques (RF Sputtering)

Corrosion-resistant coatings applied via Radio Frequency (RF) sputtering are essential for protecting structural materials from harsh environmental and chemical degradation.

Multiferroic materials

These are compounds that combine two or more ferroic properties, such as ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism. Their unique ability to couple electric and magnetic orders makes them highly valuable for next-generation memory devices, sensors, and energy-efficient electronics.

Indigenously Fabricated Sputtering Targets

In-house development and fabrication of high-density ceramic sputtering targets for RF magnetron sputtering systems. Targets include oxide ceramics such as KNN, BNT, ZST, MgTiO₃, and hydroxyapatite,enabling cost-effective and customized thin-film deposition for research and industrial applications.Technology successfully transferred to M/s Advanced Process Technology Pvt Ltd, Pune and M/s Jai Bharath Enterprises, Hyderabad.
