About
Dr. Ujendra Kumar Komal leads the Advanced Composites Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology Warangal, pursued postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
His research focuses on polymer composites, additive manufacturing, sustainable materials, and natural fibre-reinforced biocomposites. His expertise spans composite fabrication and characterization, surface modification, recycling, and degradation.
At IIT Guwahati, he contributes to teaching, research, and collaborative projects involving academia, industry, and government agencies.
