Dr. Teena Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (MFSDS&AI), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, USA. Dr. Sharma received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India.
Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning Algorithms with applications in Computer Vision (object detection, classification, identification, recognition, image enhancement, and image matching), Equitable Precision Medicine (transfer learning, meta-learning, and few-shot learning), and Condition-based Monitoring (fault diagnosis and remaining useful life prediction). Dr. Sharma has authored over 30 peer-reviewed research papers in reputed journals and conferences and has written a book titled "Artificial Intelligent Algorithms for Image Dehazing and Non-Uniform Illumination Enhancement".
Dr. Sharma is serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence and has received several accolades, including the Outstanding Reviewer Award from IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems and the Best Researcher Award from the IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter. Dr. Sharma is actively involved in multidisciplinary research and collaborations, contributing to advancements across diverse fields.
