About Me

I am a faculty member in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT Guwahati, specializing in archaeology and heritage studies. My research focuses on Prehistoric Archaeology, Historical Archaeology of Assam, Sciences in Archaeology and heritage management in Northeast India. I have published extensively in reputed journals, authored books on archaeology, and contributed to various interdisciplinary volumes on heritage, archaeology, and the cultural history of Northeast India. I am also an associated faculty member of the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS) in IIT Guwahati. In the emerging area of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) my research areas are Archaeological Studies in Ancient Technology, oral traditions of northeast India.
